Mask Care Instructions

Please follow the following steps to wash and dry masks:

Wash and disinfect masks at 60º, completing a full wash cycle (soaking, washing, and rinsing) using regular detergent.

Avoid contact between masks and clean clothing.

The person doing the washing must use adequate protection, such as gloves, to handle used masks.

Do not use products that may damage or weaken the masks’ materials and their protective capacity.

It is recommended that masks dry completely within 2 hours after washing. Do not use if humid or contaminated.

Do not dry or sanitize masks in a microwave oven.

Masks should not be left drying and they should not be stored in environments where they may become contaminated again.

After each wash cycle, masks must be inspected visually (remember to wear gloves for protection or wash hands before). If any damage such as reduced fit, change in shape, or wear and tear is detected, the mask must be discarded.

For convenience and hygiene reasons, wearing masks for more than four hours is not recommended. If a mask suffers damage because of normal use or humidity, replacing the mask is recommended.

Masks must be washed every time they are used, become humid, or are handled in any way.

Mask disposal

Masks must be disposed of in a container fitted with a plastic bag (preferably in touchless containers with a lid). Using a double bag is recommended to preserve the contents of the original bag in case of a tear in the outer bag.
